ABOUT US
Welcome to Tayler "The Tailor" Sallee's world of upcycled fashion! Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Tayler's journey into fashion design began with her innate sense of style and creativity. As a teenager, she started crafting one-of-a-kind denim designs using nothing but a pair of scissors and jeans from her own closet. This passion for repurposing and reinventing clothing led her to establish her own upcycled fashion brand in 2020.
Tayler's signature style is characterized by highly unique thrifted upcycles, often featuring her distinctive overlock deconstructed look and contrast stitch detailing. Inspired by her great-grandmother's vintage style, Tayler fell in love with fashion at an early age, finding endless inspiration in vintage fashion and jewelry.
In recent years, Tayler has expanded her creative endeavors to include upcycled fashions for animals, adding an extra touch of uniqueness and personality to her designs. Fashion has always been Tayler's creative outlet, and she's on a mission to inspire others to find their own creative spark and embrace their unique sense of style.
Tayler further honed her skills and knowledge by attending the Art Institute, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising. Armed with both formal education and hands-on experience, Tayler continues to work with pre-existing items, breathing new life into forgotten pieces and creating a name for herself in the fashion industry.

Meet The Team
TAYLER SALLEE
Founder & Head Designer
"I grew up with a strong curiosity about the world of design and began crafting up-cycled clothing and jewelry samples at a young age. While obtaining my BA in Fashion Marketing I soon began to learn more about the unstylish side of fast fashion. I wanted to be a part of the fashion world but didn't want to support unethical companies.
This is how Tailor Sallee was created. Every piece of Tailor Sallee clothing is handmade by me and has the lowest impact possible on the planet because my designs are made from recycled materials and require no new resources."
